Well said again, Billy! I'm happy to be seeing Sparks, but I would expect to be able to get a better seat when tickets are first released without having to compete with any touts who would have seen the link.

I managed to get Stalls Row C! Beyond excited! What a tense couple of minutes booking the tickets turned out to be!

This is going to be the best Sparks show ever, I can sense it! Ron and Russell will smash it!

Don't know if it's the Barbican website or me but 30 minutes trying and eventually had to settle for two tickets in the balcony?
No great advantage gained by renewing my fan club membership but a least I've got tickets!

To be fair in this day and age, if people had googled this Im sure they wouldve found the link one way or another.
it kind of makes it pointless anyway as anyone can get these tickets. They shouldve done sort of password only thing. That would stop the touts and mean it would just be fans to get the benefit.

So the same person wouldn't have posted the password then?

If they gave fan club members there own individual passwords that would definetly help stop the touts.
Anyway its a problem that has always been there and probably always will. its just a case of hoping for the best when tickets are released!
To anyone who hasnt yet got tickets DONT PANIC! tommorrow is the actual day!! good luck to all and hope you get good seats!

I'm trying to use the link from the Sparks Maeling List email and I can check seats but then Barbican says "current selection is invalid". When I called them they said that SeeTickets.com handled all Fan Club sales. Which is weird.

Any thoughts on this?
What's been the way to do it for those of you that have?

Sold out possibly? I hope not but that could be the explanation. The top and middle price seats sold out within about 10-15 minutes.
Good luck!

I've got a ticket for 27,50!
I started at 10.00 AM sharp, but the most expensive tickets had already sold out.

I got the fan club email and was online before 9am ready to buy my tickets as soon as they went live - but it wouldn't give me the option of the stalls - at one point I had five screens open trying to get a ticket to no avail.

Ended up with a seat in row D in the circle which is the same price as stalls but I am disappointed. Also see that someone got front row stalls two hours after I bought mine. Good luck to them but I think this was badly handled and am sure a lot of fans like me will be upset.

Last time when the Barbican handled it there were no problems and I even got to pick my seat from a schematic. People who booked seats via the Barbican were able to get the stalls but the majority of the fan club members didn't get the option booking via SEE Tickets website.

I was disappointed I only got Circle seats after trying from 9am. Apparently, not all stalls seats were released for pre-sale, at 9am...That's bad planning and very strange practise..Not very good when you're a long-time fan and you don't get a chance to be nearer to front of stage...

I am grateful we are getting this in London. I haven't been to the Barbican before but having seen some photos of it, I hope everyone gets a good view wherever they are seated.

Pre-sale sure is no guarantee of a better seat; I learned that when buying Kate Bush tickets in March (although it was a relative/metaphorical walk in the park compared to those who didn't have the pre-sale option).

I'm sure D.P. didn't mean to expose the pre-sale link to all and sundry, he's cool. I did worry the link might get posted when someone enquired about it further up the thread!

Danish Plagiarism did not post some special fan-club-only link to buy tickets; they posted exactly the same link as I did on July 10th, which I found simply by visiting the Barbican website and locating the right date. Any touts could have done exactly the same!

What you posted on 10th of July did not include the pre sale link!

My 10th July post included the link:
Quote:

Sparks perform Kimono My House with The Heritage Orchestra at the Barbican Hall

in both the picture and the words beneath it (click on either to check). This is the same as that posted by Danish Plagiarism (unless they changed it - that post has been edited since first posting). Was there a different URL for Sparks-fanclub members only? I see some people are talking about SEEtickets.
