The boys are back in town! MiniPop Last time R&R arrived in Glasgow Central Railway Station they were embraced by a sparky fan for a selfie. Excitement has just become real.

Not sure where everybody's meeting up for the Glasgow gig. Crystal Palace in the city centre - Jamaica Stret - is probably the best bet. I'll look in about 3:30 and hopefully see some of you there. Nice and central and they sell food.

The Crystal Palace is a good Wotherspoons pub and about 10 minute walk from the venue. Plenty space for us all!

Hope to look in. It's a long gig ahead with lots to enjoy. This time it would be unwise arriving with an empty stomach.

I hope everyone going to the 6music gig tonight in Glasgow really have an absolute blast. It's gonna be a very special evening for sure. Extra special greetings to all my wonderful friends from the 2008 extravaganza that have made it to the festival. I'll see you whenever the next London gig is. I'll be listening to the stream on 6Radio with a large shandy! All the very best from the Number one fan in Islington!!!

the band has proofed a great performance despite
the fact that they are a very new formation ...

the 2 new tracks i could hear via livestream

What the Hell Is it This Time - a great catchy uptempo tune

Hippopotamus - the ultimate post dada song

Saw it on the stream. Very curious what people there thought. I thought it was a good show but a few rough edges, especially compared to ffs if I am honest. Though Steve Nistor was great!
Very pleased they did My Baby but the thrash at the end needs to be twice as loud and twice as long!!!

with the stream the "new versions" of Dick Around an WDiGTMW were very strong ...

I don't like the really fast version of dick around personally.
Thought what the hell is it now was fab, likewise missionary position and the Edith piaf song, hippopotamus is quirky but nowt spesh.
If I never hear future islands again it'll be too soon.
Just waiting to see/hear what goldfrapp can bring to the table, got big boots to fill!

Dick Around and MBTMH are concert duds unfortunately. Didn't look as though much of the audience were involved for a lot of the time either.

Suburban homeboy is the perfect show finisher guys.

Mbtmh - that's why the payoff needs to be loud and long
Da - imo full length or nothing
Sh - don't agree...for various reasons

With you on suburban homeboy, Dinky.
Trying hard to like Goldfrapp, failing miserably.
John's given up and gone to the bar.
Dear God, she's trying to out wuthering heights Kate Bush now
