Missionary Position- Sparks

Itís a little retro and a bit passť, but you know you make her feel A-OK,
and she feels alright, the stars are bright, the missionary position.
And the acrobats, well they tend to scoff, all you know is that you can get her off,
and you feel alright, the stars are bright, the missionary position.

The tried and true is good enough for me and you, for me and you,
the tried and true is good enough, donít need anymore, we donít need anymore.
A rebranding effort might just be the thing, but a nameís a name and weíre continuing,
always feeling fine, it ainít the wine, itís the missionary position.

There are pros and cons to each different pose, but we donít see any need to get to those,
Ďcause weíre feeling great, a heightened state, the missionary position.

The tried and true is good enough for me and you, for me and you,
the tried and true is good enough, donít need anymore, we donít need anymore,
donít need anymore, we donít need anymore.

You might have positions you can recommended, but I donít know if weíll ever get to them,
Ďcause we feel alright, the stars are bright, the missionary position.
You might pride yourself, youíre so Avant garde, but we're neoclassicists, I guess, at heart,
patronise all you like, we both like the missionary position.

Missionary, missionary, missionary, missionaryÖ

Itís a private matter as to frequency, but we both are smiling as you well can see,
and it ainít no joke, it ainít baroque, itís the missionary position.
Itís a little retro and a bit passť, but you know you'll make her feel A-OK,
and she feels alright, the stars are bright, the missionary position.

Thanks! I was just trying to figure out the "rebranding effort" bit.

A few changes:

And the acrobats, well they tend to scoff, all you know is that you can get her off,
...
You might pride yourself, youíre so Avant garde, but we're neoclassicists, I guess, at heart
...
and it ainít no joke, it ainít baroque, itís the missionary position.

Hi Oscar...
Oh, now you've got me thinking again...LOL!

1. I had it as "Get" too at first, but still not sure. When i slowed it down in Audacity though, it sounds like "Hit"?

2. Neo... That's a hell of a line to hear properly, isn't it ? I like your version, will go re-listen, Russell can be tough to hear sometimes, but yours makes more sense.

3. Ahh yes, baroque, again makes more sense. Thanks Oscar, I've updated/edited accordingly.

Time will tell, when we finally get to see those lyrics for real. Can't wait.
