another superb review

9,5 out of 10

Yes a very good and positive review. The praising final sentence could indeed be describing Sparks' very first album released in the early '70s.

Sunday Times

SPARKS
Hippopotamus
BMG
The Mael brothers’ latest album is so mind-bendingly bonkers, you’d need nerves of steel to tackle it in one sitting. Every wittily titled track is packed with wayward melodies, wordplay and colourful sonic collisions: Wagner meets 1990s house, anyone? Missionary Position recalls Rocky Horror, I Wish You Were Fun is an electro gem about a friend whose favourite colour is brown, and Scandinavian Design recounts a trip to Ikea so fiendishly, it could spawn a stage show. Prepare to be pummelled into submission. LV
