Sparks in Boulder, July 9th
Sparks played a really intimate theater (capacity of 850) last Sunday. I’m writing from my phone at the Denver airport because I’ve stayed in Colorado all week, and as usual, my flight is delayed. I was in the 3rd row, very close to the stage on Russell’s side. It seems to me that Russell’s voice has gotten stronger over the tour. At the end, I was up at the stage for My Baby’s Taking Me Home, and there seemed to be a glow around Ron and Russell. It was spellbinding and electrifying and designed-for-this-fangirl satiating. The audience in this tiny space went wild. Though, it’s all over, I’m so lucky to have seen them 3 times in 9 days.
