God, that was tough to compile! ... and everyone who has contributed to this thread so far has made some great suggestions!
While I'm sticking with my final 10 (otherwise the tyrannical Kermit will disqualify me! ), I'd also be majorly happy if any one of the following ended up in the set:
Pacific Standard Time, As I Sit Down To Play The The Organ At The Notre Dame Cathedral, The Ghost Of Liberace, Sherlock Holmes, Arts And Crafts Spectacular, Let's Make Love, The Louvre, Fletcher Honorama, How Do I Get To Carnegie Hall?, Hippopotamus, Simple Ballet, Frankly Scarlett, I Don't Give A Damn, Don't Leave Me Alone With Her.
All this said, I suspect none of my official 10 nor any of my runners up will make it, but I'm sure it'll still be an amazing concert experience! |

I think I like your additional list even more than the first, and the first was great! Arts and Crafts Spectacular, How Do I Get to Carnegie Hall?, and Don't Leave Me Alone With Her would leave me needing smelling salts. _________________ better drop the requirement that everything be great |

Thanks so much, waterloosunset! Arts And Crafts Spectacular, and possibly also Don't Leave Me Alone With Her have both only ever been performed live once before. Looking forward to your list..

And by the way, Waterloo Sunset is, like, easily one of the ten best songs written in the history of pop music. |

That is the unalterable truth.
I'm having trouble with this Top 10 thing because my 10 favorite songs might not be the 10 songs that I would like to hear live. This Town is, without question, in my top 10, but I've seen it both in person and on screen (a lot), so I would rather hear some of the ones you mentioned, or Barbecutie, or Lost and Found, and definitely Here Comes Bob. And Waterproof. I'm useless. _________________ better drop the requirement that everything be great |

Dear Brightonian, thank you so much for your humorous description of me as 'the tyrannical Kermit!'. I'll take that. LOL. I hope you meant it in jest of course but if we want to get a proper result here then people have to stick to the rules. (Ruler in hand!)
I think we must all agree though that so far the voting has been completely random as to who likes what best. It will be a very interesting & unpredictable result once the poll finishes. Obviously the more top 10's we get in the better so tell all your friends if they haven't joined in the fun already. _________________ The fan formally known as kermit

I went completely for the 10 I most wanted to hear live. As much as I love This Town, what was refreshing at the 21 nights 'Sparks Spectacular' London shows was that, on 18 of those nights, that song was never played, giving way to other more obscure delights!
Keep persevering with your top 10 ... I assumed I'd fail to submit mine before Kermit called time on this! |

I'm working on it. It's just that if I go through the albums in chronological order, I've already got ten songs by the end of Propaganda. I guess I should make a master list and start culling. I know that there will be no 80s songs on my list. I know that Here In Heaven and My Baby's Taking Me Home will be on my list. Can I count Propaganda and At Home, At Work, At Play as one song because they really are? Right? That will make things a tiny bit easier. _________________ better drop the requirement that everything be great |

I'm considering making a list for each album (or year... don't want to ignore those B-sides!) and then making a master list from the tops of my individual lists. I'm sure I want to give priority to songs rarely performed live, but yes, the choices are difficult. Too many good songs the hazards of listening to Sparks! |
