And, more currently, TGICIHL took a bit of warming to - Cate Blanchett cavorting really makes my toes curl, but I like the sing now!
Wasn’t much struck on Escalator until I saw it performed at Wolverhampton. Come to think of it, didn’t like Beaver o’Lindy until I saw them play it at Oxford! |

Achoo - the sneezing used to really do my head in. But since listening a few times this week for album club, I’m really enjoying it both musically and lyrically.
I’ve had it as an ear worm all day! The closing chorus of achoos has (mentally) vanished. _________________ Tomorrow I'll find out all I should know... |

I used to dislike Hospitality On The Parade for some reason. It felt a bit empty. Now I love it again and just laugh at my past self for hating the song.
I also didn't really like the Balls album the first few listens, but it also grew on me. |

All that comes to mind atm are two songs my fiancée couldn’t stand at first: “Change” and “Get In the Swing.”
The latter I get, but the former? But now those are musts for any late-night weekend Sparks party. |

Apparently when recorded initially the ending was a long guitar solo by Adrian.... the band went off after a day's recording and on coming back into the studio next day found the "achoos" had replaced the guitar ending. Nobody objected as it worked...but I'd love to hear that original recording. Trevor tried to recreate it at a convention. (There was a video of it on YouTube but I can't find it) |
