Firstly, they've given those of us lucky to have been around for 50 years more than we could ever have hoped for

Secondly, they've had an incredibly busy last few years and are finally enjoying public recognition and long overdue success. Any rest is well deserved

Thirdly they are men in their mid to late 70's

They owe us nothing really

BUT

It's now 7 months since their last concert and there's been nothing as to what's next. No updates on Xcrucior since late 2022. I was here when nothing was happening for years when FFS was suddenly announced, but this somehow feels different. Their profile is the highest it's ever been, but it will decline in a vacuum

The hiatus is being filled wonderfully by Paul Barrett and Monte Mallin with Paul's incredible deep dives into albums and Monte's always interesting guests on his Sparks Entertainment and Art channel.

Someone tell me that 'Gee That Was Fun' wasn't their farewell ................

Well, in Ron's defence he has been very preoccupied reading Ulysses...... I'm sure something will appear soon and if the momentum of the last few years has ebbed a bit l have a feeling this is not uppermost in their minds..... For better or worse they will work away until they're ready to present something regardless of the time scale......
Of course this can work against them sometimes, but they are Sparks after all, it's never easy. 😂

(nevertheless l would love some news on X crucior!)

they played royal albert hall, glastonbury uk sydney opera house, and the hollywood bowl plus europe and us tour, and i dont think this is the end, 50 years of wonderment, and we have been lucky unlike most band who have only released best of,s for the last 40 years, if they are quiet after an epic year,, something big is around the corner...this is the CALM BEFORE THE STORM XXXXXXXX

I'd been thinking a bit along those lines too. I don't think they'll ever stop writing and recording, but touring is something else.

It would be great to see them properly headline at Glasto - or am I dreaming...

I hope you can see a Sparks concert, maybe a close family friend can look after your mother for the evening, I am sure it's very hard for you and your mother would understand.
I am 65 and would love to see a Sparks concert in the USA, but that's a dream
