Thanks for the heads up, Bryan. I've had this on order from our local bookshop since early last year - the publication date keeps on being put back, goodness knows why.

Strange. Mine says (also States)

"Sparks 1969 to 1979: every album, every song
Sold by Amazon.com Services, Inc

New estimated delivery date: Friday, August 30,
2024"

Not much better. :-(

Just to add to the general confusion...

I've got it ordered at my local bookshop [in the UK] and their supplier still has the publication date as 29 March. Looking at a couple of online stores, Blackwell's still has that date but Waterstones and Amazon show 28 June. Take your pick, or choose any other random date!

Last month I preordered another book - on The Divine Comedy - in the same series, which came out bang on the date advertised. I'd like to know what the problem with the Sparks book is, but I'm not holding my breath on a March publication date.

In truth, Oscar, it went on the pile of two dozen or so books I've yet to read! Have just dug it out to have a skim through.

139 pages, covering 15 albums - so more than the Sparks book - with some getting more attention than others. Comments on the lyrics and music of each track. A middle section with some good looking colour photos. It's from a different author than the Sparks one, and I haven't any others in the same series, so I can't say if the format is going to be exactly the same.

Thanks! Don't think I'll order it now, but maybe if I'm in need of something to read in the future...
