I received an email from the Sparks Mailing List asking if I want to join the Sparks Street Team.

The email requests contact info and then you will be sent flyers and posters to distribute around town.

Is this legit? I wonder due to all the critical error stuff going on around this site lately.

I got a DM from @Buckeye Randy about the Street Team. At the same moment I got a text message from another US Sparks fan asking me if I had gotten an email about this. She then forwarded the email to me and I signed up. I can't figure out why I didn't get one as well in that I'm here (there are not that many Americans here, as far as I can tell) and I'm a member of the fan club. Whatever. I plan to go to Newbury Comics in Boston and Cambridge as well as to WERS, which is the radio station at Emerson College (very popular). I emailed WERS once asking them why they don't play Sparks. No reply. They play new music AND every single band that has named Sparks as a major influence (with the exception of Erasure). Tonight they played a song by The Last Dinner Party! Uggh. So I'm going to try again with the power of The Street Team behind me.
