A proper headbanging track. Good to dance to when you have had a few on a Saturday night :-)

I feel the same, DM, but for me this week it's Angus, not for the words (cuz I don't really get it), but the melody takes me to another world somehow.........

@Cali, I`m guessing you mean Whippings ? I could be wrong though...

@Alex, very brave undertaking you`ve made with this poll, I would have got completely confused after the first 5 or so, so well done...your stamina is commendable :-)

One point about the poll I thought of though, is....I don`t know if it`s possible, but it may be a good idea to let these run for an amount of time, then ideally, reset the votes and figures (making a note of scores for "round 1")
possibly removing any 0 scoring tracks, then re-running the polls after a reset to allow the "on-the-fencers" and swingers to change their final choice.

Or maybe simpler, after these have run for a while, do another with a shortlist of the winners of this one, just to tighten the results up a bit.

If you get my drift, it`s 8:30 am....I don`t do A.M. very well.

I'm just putting this on this particular post as it is the one on top of the list....If I've arranged the polls properly....all the ones marked (a) or (b) will close tomorrow(wednesday at the latest)...then I'll put the ones with the highest votes in a head to head set up to get the winner from each of those albums.
The other polls won't shut for a few days yet...again if I've set them up properly!!

I wasn`t sure if the "Aberdeen Angus" was a popular product in the U.S.
but here`s what it says......
Quote:
Angus cattle (ăng'gəs), breed of black polled (hornless) beef cattle, originated in Scotland and introduced in 1873 to the United States, where they have become well established. Often called Black Angus or Aberdeen Angus cattle, they have low, compact bodies and are noted for the fine quality of their flesh. As a breed, they lack the size of Shorthorn and Hereford cattle. In recent years, the Red Angus breed of cattle has been derived from red cattle born in registered black herds.

Quote:
American Angus Association

The American Angus Association was founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1883, with 60 members. Its original name was shortened in the 1950s from the American Aberdeen-Angus Breeders' Association.

In the first century of operation, more than 10 million head were recorded. The American Angus Association records more cattle each year than any other beef breed association, making it the largest beef breed registry association in the world.

After hearing the song for years without knowing the lyrics, I had my own version programmed into my head...mostly wrong, even though I didn`t know what he was singing....

Having studied it, it really does look like what Fossil said......

anyone with any alternatives, I might not be seeing the wood for the trees.

why wouldn't they do a song about this subject?

they wrote a song about being in love with your sister, are you going to deny that too??

As Angus was an area of Scotland(before county re-shuffles)..and also a nick-name given to scottish countryside dwellers..by city dwellers...I do hope no-one suggests that this song might be (mis)construed as a song about people being desirous of having congress with hairy men in kilts

That reminds me ..where is my sporran???
