Since '74 and I first heard 'This town..' on Radio Luxembourg... First gig Liverpool Empire the same year... ashamed to say I haven't followed all of their work, kinda went off my radar in the 80's, but now back with a vengeance!!

This Town and Amateur Hour on Top Of The Pops.

Starngely it was Amateur Hour taht I first fell in love with.

And then I found Woofer and Sparks. Heaven sent!

Bwah! I missed the '74 gig.

Wasn't it strange at the Uni how nearly everyone sat down on the floor until the end?

It was Top of the Pops in 1974, I would have been 12 years old and I am now 44. I purchased both singles when they went out the charts and got Kimono as a Birthday present.

I've been listening to Sparks for about ten years now. Tommorow I'll be off to Paradiso to see them live for the first time! In a way, this gig will be the 10th anniversary party of being a Sparks fan.

I was immediately hooked at 10 years old seeing This town on Toppop on tv...being that young, I did not check any further after the calm after amateur hour, I recall beat the clock though. Years later, I bought Mael Intuition, a treasure, now through the internet and the London dvd I'm hooked again and trying to get hold of their back catalogue. (I still miss 7 of them). One very fine day, I had 5 LP's second hand!! Made my day !

I got into them a couple of years ago when I saw them perform No.1 Song in Heaven on Top of the Pops 2. Thought it was such a great song, so I bought a 'best of' and it went from there! Got 13 albums now, so I guess I'm on the way to obsessive fanhood! My mum used to have the Kimono LP and as a kid I used to watch whenever they were (occasionally) on telly, as I found Ron amusing Ron Playing

I have been listening to Sparks for ten years now, which means I must have been 15 years old when I became a Sparks fan.

I once threw a carnation on stage at the Liverpool Empire, and Ron picked it up, sat back down and sat tapping the top of his keyboards with it.... does that count?? lol

I also passed a large tube of Smarties to Russell because he had said in an interview that he liked them!!

Inadvertently since 1974

Knowingly since 1977

Religiously since 1979 :)
