Russell seems to really be enjoying these songs (at least now...ha ha) and he especially liked "Goofing Off", as he mentioned it as a possible final night encore...

Did they bring the violinist from "It Ain't 1918" for a make-good?

I was able to reserve a computer at the library to watch it, but the CD Pulse player won't appear on the screen!!!

How was "Forever Young"?

Like Big Beat, this is not the first Sparks CD I would pull out of the pile to play, but, like Big Beat, this album sounded wonderful live!! Russell simply gets better every passing night - just how does he do it? Is there a jacket that does not suit him? Ron was, er....well....Ron. A Big Surprise, Ladies & Forever Young rocked. What can you say about Goofing Off - given a completely new dynamic with audience participation; I just loved it!! Even the harmonies on Over The Summer were done brilliantly. Jim Wilson's guitar playing during Those Mysteries was superb. Everything else was just great. Like Big Beat, this album will be pulled from the pile a lot more often now.

Dammit – I missed Occupation! That’s definitely my favorite song on the album. Is anyone going to upload it? Speaking of Occupation – has anyone ever seen the video for it? I hear it’s got Russell dressing up in a bunch of uniforms to represent the jobs he’s singing about. (I wonder what the Orson Welles costume looked like…)
Goofing Off sounded 100 times better than on the album…the audience participation helped a lot.
And Alabamy Right for an encore – awesome.
So I overheard a bit of conversation at the end of Big Beat – dude doing the streaming camera was speculating about a DVD release…mentioned that there was another camera there, but he didn’t know what was going on with it. Man, I hope so.
Can’t wait to see what they’re going to do with #1 in Heaven.

Even on the livestream (with all its hickups, but I'm so glad it's there!), the live performances of Big Beat and Introducing rocked more than on the albums. And with the fabulous audience participation, I'm actually having fun watching a tiny laptop screen and listening to 19th century sound quality. What a band, what a singer, what a Ron!

As a naive 16-year old, I thought that Introducing was the best album Sparks had ever done. Once I became older and more cynical, I tended to write the album off completely. Yet again, the live performance makes me re-consider - that was fantastic! It is really strange, but so far I have enjoyed the more obscure albums the most.

To me this was the best concert so far, it was just AWESOME,
As I have said before A big surprise is my favorite and it was just great.
All off them was just great. The audience seems really into it.
Why was Steve M not playing? I wondered that and then he came out in the end!!!!!!
Anyways, yet again a great performance

That was fantastic! It seems Introducing is one of those albums that really catches fire when it's live. One of the greatest assets R&R have for these gigs is the band. Those chaps are doing a superb job on backing vocals.
The other asset is the audience. Russell doesn't have to worry too much about forgetting the lyrics while they're blasting out from the crowd.
I got it recorded, but it needs a lot of work to patch up the audio gaps, but I'll post it up tomorrow on the Live Stream thread on the Music page.

Must have been just me then. Sound and picture froze during Ladies and didn't come back until Those Mysteries. Can't feel too unhappy though, not after Alabamy Right live. Swings & roundabouts.

I don't actually own the 'Introducing' album so most of these songs were completely new to me, but gotta say - tonights show WAY surpassed my expectations! How brilliant is Goofing Off?!! So glad this is in the top ten for the encore

I heard that tomorrows show has sold out, i can't get a ticket anymore...aaaaaaaaaah ...i'm going crazy here.

Has anyone has a spare ticket? PLEASE!!!!

I can trade last nights an tonights setlist!!!

This was the first show I didn't attend, so my first experience of the live streaming, which wasn't bad at all, but for the annoying drop-outs.

Introducing is not favourite of mine, but I'd agree it sounded much better live than on record. Occupation sounded particularly good, Forever Young too, and I'd agree that Goofing Off was stunning.
