My vote goes to Indiscreet!

But what will you choose?

Will you go crazy for Pineapple,
Beat The Clock (By 5 minutes),
Or Let Your Baby Take You Home?

You choose!
This poll goes on for 14 days!
GET VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTING!

Hell, who isn't still trying to get into that place!
It is currently drawn with 3 votes in each album!
Will you go Under The Table with Indiscreet,
Hear the No. 1 Song In Heaven,
Or Steal The Rhythm?
You choose.

P.S. I'm going to carry on making bad puns like this until the end.
P.S.S. If you have any other good ones, please post!

Has to be Lil Beethoven - if it was a debut album it would be a classic, but a 19th? Fcking amazing..

It's very close with Lil' Betthoven in first by 1 point with 5 votes.
The others are drawn on 4 votes.
KEEP GOING!!

As mentioned earlier, I made this poll go on for 2 weeks so we get as many votes as poss. I'm hoping for at least 30 votes in all! (I doubt it will happen though)

GOOD LORD!

People are voting for the album about a small composer!

Lil' Beethoven of course, it's their magnum opus, so inventive and exciting.

Pretty much flawless actually...

As one who played on the Island albums, my vote is for Li'l B!
Groundbreaking stuff on an unprecedented scale! A breath of fresh air amongst the mediocrity which was assaulting our aural senses at the time.
A truly fabulous album...

Good Lord. Ian Hampton's a junior groupie on here. Glad to see a former member of the first group I really latched onto keeping up with their current doings as well. I just dug out the programme to see if you were playing when I first saw Sparks at Hammersmith in '74 & to my surprise it was '75.

So it was you (Can you remember who the support was, blessed if I can?). Were they the first concerts after 'Kimono my house' or had there been some before you joined? I apologise for leading everyone on by saying I was 13 when I first saw Sparks as I was obviously 14. I am suitably chastened.
Anyway, I was torn between 'Lil Beethoven' & 'Indiscreet'. The latter for old times sake or the marvellous 2002 offering which was my first real experience of Sparks since. I didn't know what to expect at the LB Premiere at the QE2 hall or whether I would like it. I did. So that coupled with Ian's vote has swayed my hand to LB. Though I'm very glad I saw the 'Indiscreet' show. It was a great way to hear an album that I hadn't listened to for a very long time & it's still a great record.

Wow. Love the ticket scan!
I saw you other post with the old programme too. I wish I'd been there!

It's extraordinary to see that ticket only cost £1. I remember in 1974, singles cost 50p and chart albums £2.50 and by 1978 they were 75p and £2.99 respectively. So it cost significantly less to see them live, than to buy their album! Such that you might think "I'll go to see them, and if I like what they play, I will buy their album. If I don't like it, I've only wasted £1, not £2.50"!

I could've sworn they were £3.50 before I dug it out last night though why would it say £1 if they cost more? Though I also thought it was 1974 so there you go.

I don't know how Indiscreet got in this list. I haven't listened to it in years because it didn't inspire me as much. I guess I'll put it on the turntable this weekend and re-consider.

For my ears Sparks' best albums are:

1 - Lil Beethoven
2 - Kimono My House
3 - Hello Young Lovers

The Blue Prince has spoken.

Blue Prince, put it on. I loved it at the time & after a 30 year break it's wormed it's way into me once again. At Indiscreet/21 I was hearing some of the songs anew.

Got to be number one song in heaven for me,if in doubt play the album version very loud and you will realise its a classic, add to this 5 other tracks way ahead of there time that still sound fresh today and lil beethoven im afraid has to bow to the master.
