Can anyone remind me if any previous Sparks members returned to play on their albums during the 21x21 gigs? I know it wasn't all that long ago, but I can't remember!

Definitely not, but a couple or so were in the audience.
It's not in the Maels' philosophy to "Go back". As it happened, the guys on stage did an excellent job. They have all become good friends of mine now. A mutual respect kind of thing. They are all top musos. Josh is even now a Red Hot Chili Pepper. Saw him at the London O2 a couple of months ago & he was a charming host. Saw Jim in London a couple of months before that with Daniel Lanois.
Equally charming. Yes, great musos them all. As for Tammy,
she's above and beyond!

Ian,

Hope you dont mind me asking, but did you have a catch up with the Maels as well?

Always kinda wondered if they either kept in touch or spoke to old members of Sparks, or whether they treated them like an old girlfriend and avoid them like the plague… :)

Hi Jason,
Yes, had a catch up at the after-show thing.
I believe they simply just don't wish to dwell
on the past. However, when they're over here,
we have a natter. They both remain friendly and
charming guys. As is common knowledge, they
like to retain the enigma that is Sparks and as such,
they never have been at their most comfortable
at "social" gatherings. That said, it's always a pleasure
to have a chat with them.
