That was absolutely brilliant! Probably best I've seen them since 1975. I've always preferred Sparks in the rock band format and the current line up is great.
Missionary Position sounds even better live than on the album and that's saying something. Best Sparks song for years for me and my favourite complete album since Indiscreet

I was so disappointed to miss this as I am on holiday but saw them in Glasgow earlier this year and agree Missionary Position is up there with anything from Kimono, Propaganda and Indiscreet and that is saying something!!
Saw them in 1974 and 1975 in Edinburgh and have been totally hooked ever since.
The time has come for them to get the recognition they deserve. |

Yep, already said it on here (somewhere). Should definitely be a single. Cannot get it out of my head and so much better live than on the CD. Don't think they could use that video though _________________ Don't let it get me! |

Edinburgh was indeed a spectacular performance
I honestly believe Ron and Russell were slightly taken aback with the standing ovation they received.
It meant all lot to them.
Thank You Sparks ! |

Especially touching it was for me to have sparks play the venue I fondly regard as my local. And, for my favourite band, not just to sell it out, but put up the best ever performance it's had with matching reception. Sparks are the front page of its current programme, they are in the window of my favourite record shop (coda in bank st), and even the 2nd hand vinyl shop was blasting out kimono. It was like Wednesday I had returned to a pararell universe shaped by my own dreams, while all this time surrounded with friends, most of whom renown sparks fans, plus some I'd no idea were also fans....! Sparks mania. |
