The Boston Massachusetts area was supposed to be pounded by snow last night going into the late afternoon today. All the area schools canceled classes for today. We got ready for our first real storm of the season. I am looking out my window and see about a half inch of snow on the grass, and nothing on the sidewalk or street. It's too warm. Light flakes are falling from the sky. _________________ better drop the requirement that everything be great |

I did my milk round in snow and ice when I was a boy, do you think it was character building. |
We grew up fast in the good old days, I got 1 pound for 7 days work and had to give my mum half my pay, with 7 kids in a small house in Liverpool we all had to pay our way, now at 65 I would love to go back to the good old days,
Oh the weather was good today a nice cool 22 C _________________ -------------------

30/- was what I was paid...I gave it all to mum, but I got to keep my tips...I was tipped well , I think because I had a look of David Lean's Oliver Twist. I moved to a different milk company, I was the youngest of the crew, but they all looked out for me, my wages went up to 50/- , same arrangement with mum....didn't think anything of it as you say it was pulling your weight in the family finances. |

Very little rain today, so didn't get wet on the dog walks...unlike yesterday, I got 3 thorough drenchings whilst dog walking...4 if you count when I was caught in a torrent as I left the gym. |

~10 C, unseasonably warm and the rain falling on melting snow is producing heavy fog. |

No fatalities but 4 people airlifted to hospital and a great many more injured, treated on scene or taken by ambulance to hospital. The M23 was closed both ways at the Pease Pottage junction.
Pictures show the hail lying very thickly across the road essentially turning the surface into an ice rink. I'm not sure as I haven't driven there for a while but I think this area is a "Smart Motorway" so there is no hard shoulder. |

It's cooling off now from a high of about 15 C, but I saw flowers blooming outside today. It isn't even officially spring yet... |

We've had daffs, crocuses and snowdrops for a while now and while the temperature is slightly above average for this time of year...we can't seem to get a break from the rain. |

It was warm enough here for me to cut the grass, first cut of the year...never the tidiest due to the length and dampness but at least I managed it....and still we are rain free...how long will it last? Watch this space 😜 |
