So,l see that Rob Brydon will be doing an interview with Sparks in May...much as l like Rob it got me thinking....in an ideal world who would l like to see interviewing Sparks...
Melvin Bragg.....(sadly retired)
Kristian Guru-Murthy......(he did a really good one a few years ago)
Joan Bakewell.....(also retired)
Simon Armitage.....(the poet laureate who picked a Sparks song recently on Radio 6)
And......
David Hockney.....(because I'm being silly but l think creatively they all have a lot in common).
I'd love someone to talk to them about stuff that hasn't been discussed before, maybe Rob will do that. |

This sounds really interesting & a lot of fun. I'm getting myself a ticket & I hope to see a few familiar faces there too. Any excuse to visit this beautiful venue again is fine by me anyway. _________________ The fan formally known as kermit

I really hope the event will be at least recorded, or filmed... or even better: streamed live! Unfortunately I don't think this will be the case... but who knows. |

It's to promote the album, surely they'll want it broadcasting to a wider audience than the fans who've gone to watch it ? |

I know Rob Brydon hosts a really popular podcast,or at least he used to.....I'm sure this interview will be easily available at some stage, also it's rather good publicity for Rob Brydon as well....
(Bristols......an Alan Bennett/Sparks interview would be absolute bliss,l'd pay good money to see that!) |

Rob Brydon always brings grace and insight to his interviews – this one is definitely worth the wait! |

I agree with most of you, Rob Brydon did it so well it's hard to think about anyone else.
However I'd love to see how Antoine De Caunes would do this, since I know he's a Sparks enthusiast. He's a French TV presenter but many Brits know him from the old 90's show Eurotrash on Channel 4. |
