I prefer their single Desperate Dan…but being from Dundee, I’m probably biased |

Here are the film club's creepy list for this month...
1. Let the Right one in.
2. The Vanishing (the original Dutch film)
3.Ju - on (The Grudge)
I'm leaning towards voting for the Vanishing... Any suggestions people? (that's if any of you can manage to get through to the forum.... 😂) |

"Annette" The finish of it is what makes it stick with you. "Sympathy for the Abyss" is one of the best written songs "Sparks" have ever composed. The fact that "Annette" blames both of them equally ! That struck me down a bit. _________________ I Think that went very Well |

Bloodbath At The House Of Death
70’s high camp, which, despite having several famed actors from British stage, screen and telly….
Kenny Everett, Gareth Hunt, Pamela Stephenson, Don Warrington, Sheila Stargell etc etc, isn’t very good. Even the addition of Vincent Price doesn’t improve it.
I saw this at the cinema when it was released and couldn’t remember much about it…now I know why, it’s instantly forgettable!! |

deadcalm...
l love the Abyss too and yet it's odd to think it was composed specifically for the film ,apparently if my memory of an interview is correct Ron said that Leos asked him to write something for the end of the film....and that's what he came up with!
It's not on the original recording ( although l absolutely love that original version).
Bloodbath at the House of Death.......is it supposed to be serious Alex?
Not that l'm making fun...l paid good money back in the day to see Carry on Up the Kyber.........(mind you,l think it's become something of a cult classic....😂)[/quote] |

It’s supposed to be a comedy but despite the normally wonderful wit of Barry Cryer it didn’t transfer well from paper onto the big screen.
Nothing wrong with Carry On films which, with the exceptions of Carry On England, Carry On Emmanuelle and Carry On Columbus, possess a quaint albeit sexist (and mildly racist and homophobic) humour. This arguably merits the general “look-down-the-nose” attitude they have garnered..but I still enjoy them! |
